# getSignaturesForAsset

> List the transactions that minted, transferred, burned or updated a Solana compressed NFT with DAS getSignaturesForAsset on OrbitFlare.

## Overview

A compressed NFT has no account of its own, so `getSignaturesForAddress` cannot show its history. `getSignaturesForAsset` returns the Bubblegum transactions that changed the asset, each with its instruction type, such as `MintToCollectionV1`, `Transfer` or `Burn`.

This method is also available as `getAssetSignatures`.

## Parameters

Identify the asset by `id`, or by `tree` and `leafIndex` together.

  Merkle tree address (base-58). Use with `leafIndex`.

## Common Errors

| Code | Message | Solution |
| - | - | - |
| -32602 | Must provide either 'id' or both 'tree' and 'leafIndex' | Send `id` alone, or `tree` and `leafIndex` together |
| -32602 | Pubkey Validation Err: ... is invalid | Pass a valid base-58 asset ID or tree address |
| -32602 | Pagination Error. Limit should not be greater than 1000. | Use a `limit` of 1,000 or less |
